This is a great Mexican supermarket. It might not be as clean and bright as the Fiesta down the street, but this is a better store. I was looking for three dried chiles: guajillo, ancho, and mulato. This market has a huge variety of dried chiles--all I needed and more. They also have a great produce section, with hard-to-find items. The carnicería is superb. The fresh made tortillas are outstanding. If you want super modern and clean, with less selection, go to a Fiesta. But if you want an authentic Mexican market with a great selection and quality, shop at this market.
I love this place it is a supermarket with a tortilla factory inside. Every time I go get tortillas they are in the process of making them. The tortillas are all stacked up and still hot. Would recommend if you are looking for awesome tortillas.
Five Stars for the fresh HOT flour tortillas made in store. So if you are around the Bishop Arts District make your way down to Jefferson to this Mexican Grocery store just east of Beckley. Go to the back and pick up a bag, so fresh they'll still be hot an hour after you get home. I kid you not! Also try the split marinated fajita chicken breast ready for the grill or look around you may discover something else.
